I Did It.

I applied for the job last night. Thank you to all of you who read through my cover letter and CV, providing excellent suggestions to improve them.

Hopefully they look at my application, say "Holy shit this chick is awesome!"

Of course, that's the reaction I was hoping for with my grad school apps, and that doesn't seem to be turning out so well. I guess I just have to wait and see what happens.

In the meantime, I have lots of hot posts brewing in my head for you, but seeing as I am trying to only spend time in the blogosphere when Soon To Be Leaving Husband isn't around, I may not get around to putting them together until after D-Day on 3/24.

At which point, I'll probably be posting so much for the next 6 months that y'all will start blocking my RSS feed. ;)

I am rooting for you chica!!! I am hoping everything works out for you, fingers crossed eleventy times over.

So are you officially taking grad school off your list of things to do next fall? Or not quite there yet?

I've been thinking about you, and you might want to think about the possibility of going to #4, getting your Master's, and applying again to PhD programs...That's totally not unheard of in my field, at least. Not so sure about psych, but it's something to think about.

PD- just FYI, in Psych if you go to a PhD program and leave after your MA (just because you want a "better" program), is really looked down upon and can hurt you in the admissions process and obviously hurt your reputation at the school you are currently at.

Psych students typically do not do this unless 1. Their advisor leaves (i.e., doesn't get tenure or gets a job elsewehre) or 2. their research interests change so much that they no longer fit within the program.
