My Poor Car :(

Apparently this is what $3500 worth of visible damage looks like:

if the frame isn't bent, you should be ok after they fix up the front end. bumper, fender, fender liner, headlight assy. probably some suspension work in the left front end, that's usually inevitable.; June 8, 2009 at 3:50 PM
JLK said...: Yeah, Leigh, you should see the repair estimate. I look at my car and think "Front bumper, quarter panel, headlight assembly, whatever that thing is that's covering my tire, and some paint."

They look at it and come up with 3 pages worth of line items and 48 billable hours worth of labor - 13 of which are just for paint.; June 8, 2009 at 3:54 PM

Cognitive Psychologist said...: wow, my car looked much worse after a 5 mph fender bender, mostly because the hood was crumpled.

Also, the paint costs are more or less legit - your car probably has a 3 step paint.
